Worcester man with six warrants arrested after assaulting officer

WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested a man with six outstanding warrants on May 5 after a violent encounter that resulted in an officer being bitten.

Thomas Lee Frazier, 48, of Greenwood St, was spotted by officers at around 12:36 p.m. entering a residence on Channing St during an investigation.

Aware of Frazier’s warrants for serious charges, the officers followed him into the house to apprehend him.

Upon being informed of his arrest, Frazier charged at an officer and a struggle ensued.

During the altercation, he bit the officer’s ear, causing it to bleed, and attempted to seize an officer’s tools.

Frazier was eventually subdued and taken into custody.

Frazier now faces additional charges including Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Assault to Maim, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Resisting Arrest, alongside his six prior warrants.
