MONTGOMERY — State Police reported a fatal motorcycle crash on North Main Street, near the Vtrans Highway Garage, where a 69-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a guardrail.
Joseph Donna, from Orleans, was operating a 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 when he struck the guardrail, causing substantial cosmetic damage to the vehicle and ejecting him onto the terrain below the road level.
Police say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Donna received immediate care from local fire and EMS agencies, including Montgomery, Enosburg, and Richford Fire Departments, as well as Montgomery and Enosburg Rescue/Ambulance.
Despite their efforts, Donna succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
