HOOKSETT –– Elliot “Alu” Axelman, a former Republican state representative candidate and libertarian activist, has been charged with multiple misdemeanors including four counts of sexual assault.

The charges come after he allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old girl at the Porcupine Freedom Festival in New Hampshire in June 2022.

The accusations against Axelman include inappropriate touching and physical restraint, aiming for sexual arousal with a significant age disparity present.

Following the charges, Axelman was arrested, posted bail, and subjected to strict conditions including a no-contact order with the victim and restrictions on attending future festival events.
