Bristol man arrested for DUI, driving without ignition interlock device

BRISTOL — A Williston man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, marking his third DUI offense, after being stopped by Vermont State Police on Saturday evening.

Michael H. Ryan, 35, was pulled over at about 6:37 p.m. on Vermont Route 116 near the intersection with Meehan Road following multiple observed motor vehicle violations.

Troopers noted signs of impairment while interacting with Ryan and took him into custody on suspicion of DUI.

Further investigation revealed Ryan was operating the vehicle without a required ignition interlock device.

Following his arrest, Ryan was processed at the New Haven State Police Barracks.

He was released later to a sober adult along with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on a date to be determined.
