MORGAN — A single-vehicle motorcycle crash left the rider with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and facing DUI charges late Wednesday night.

Vermont State Police were called to the scene on VT RT 111 near Jordan Rd at 1:58 a.m. where they discovered 27-year-old Tyler Sanville of Island Pond had crashed his 2007 Suzuki GSX-R750.

According to authorities, Sanville was traveling west when he failed to navigate a turn, causing him to veer off the wet roadway and into a ditch.

The impact ejected Sanville from the motorcycle, which was declared totaled.

Emergency responders transported Sanville to North Country Hospital for treatment.

While there, signs of impairment were noted, and he was processed for DUI.

Sanville was subsequently released with a citation to appear in court on the charges.
