READING — A 10-year-old child was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident Monday evening at the intersection of Washington Street and High Street, according to Reading Police.
The incident occurred at 7:19 p.m. when the child, who was riding a bicycle, was hit by a white Chevy SUV.
The vehicle reportedly fled the scene heading north on High Street.
Authorities have reported that the child sustained only minor injuries in the accident.
Reading Police are actively investigating the hit-and-run and have requested the public’s assistance.

Photos of the suspect vehicle have been released in an effort to locate the driver involved in the accident.
