Multi-state credit card theft spree follows car break-in in Bellows Falls

BELLOWS FALLS — A 66-year-old Bellows Falls resident fell victim to credit card theft on the evening of April 16, after two unidentified suspects allegedly burglarized Richard Demuzio’s vehicle at the Bellows Falls Country Club.

Following the break-in, the stolen credit cards were used to rack up fraudulent charges at various retail locations across Rockingham, Bellows Falls, Springfield, and Chester, as well as Walpole, New Hampshire.

Law enforcement officials have released images of one of the suspects and are currently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals.

The suspects are reported to be driving a dark-colored SUV with potential New Hampshire or New York license plates.

The Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspects to contact Trooper Romeo at the Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600.

In the meantime, the community is asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
