Lyndonville police arrest two on drug charges, execute warrant

LYNDONVILLE — Two individuals were arrested on April 17 after a Lyndonville Police Department officer encountered a suspicious vehicle near the storage units on Memorial Drive.

At approximately 3:32 p.m., the officer discovered both occupants in possession of a substance later identified as cocaine through field testing.

Jonathan Rutledge, 45, of Kirby, was also wanted on an arrest warrant for Domestic Assault.

Rutledge and Bethany Auclair, 36, of St. Johnsbury, were taken into custody without incident.

Rutledge was subsequently lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or surety.

Both individuals received citations to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on Aug. 26 at 8:30 a.m.

The Vermont State Police assisted the Lyndonville Police Department in this incident.
