Troy incident involving armed vehicle break-in under investigation

TROY — A man accused of breaking into a vehicle and brandishing a firearm at two local women is currently under investigation by Vermont State Police, officials reported.

The incident, which occurred on Loop Road at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, involved Jessica Murszewski, 37, and her mother, Barbara Murszewski, 73, both residents of Troy.

According to authorities, the suspect confronted the women as they attempted to stop him from breaking into their vehicle.

After threatening them with a gun, the man fled on foot before police could arrive. He was last seen wearing a zip-up hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and a baseball hat.

This event appears to be an isolated case, with no other similar incidents reported in the area, police said.
