Lyndonville man arrested on warrant for furlough violation

LYNDONVILLE — A Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer apprehended a furlough absconder on April 16 after observing suspicious activity on Broad Street.

Shannon Rainey, 43, of Danville, was identified as the individual exiting a vehicle around 12:11 p.m.

A subsequent check confirmed that Rainey was wanted on a Department of Corrections Return on Mittimus Warrant.

Rainey was taken into custody without incident and has been lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility to complete his sentence.

Officers Gerrish and Renaudette were involved in the arrest.
