Lyndonville employee accused of embezzlement, grand larceny

LYNDONVILLE — A local woman has been cited for embezzling over $1,000 and committing grand larceny, the Lyndonville Police Department reported.

Authorities cited Katie Noyes, 30, of Wheelock, on allegations of embezzling $1,170 from Jiffy Mart, a convenience store on 78 Broad Street in Lyndon, where she was employed.

The incident allegedly took place on April 7, and the complaint was filed with police on April 15.

Following the investigation, Noyes was cited on April 16 for embezzlement over $100 and grand larceny.

She is scheduled to be arraigned at the Caledonia Superior Court on June 17 at 8:30 a.m. The case is being handled by Officer Gerrish of the Lyndonville Police Department.

As this is an ongoing legal matter, the police have not released further details about the case.

Noyes will be expected to answer to the charges in court.
