Barton man charged with domestic assault

BARTON — Vermont State Police responded to a domestic assault report at a residence on Breezy Hill Road at 7:31 p.m. on April 15.

Upon arrival, officers found evidence that Adam Carpenter, 39, had inflicted physical harm on a family member.

Carpenter, a Barton resident, was arrested and processed at the Derby Barracks following the incident.

Following processing, Carpenter was released with a citation ordering him to appear in court to face charges related to the domestic assault.

In accordance with Vermont State Police policy, the identity of the victim, who is protected under privacy provisions for survivors of domestic violence, has not been disclosed.
