Montville police announce sobriety checkpoints

MONTVILLE — The Montville Police Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints on April 19 from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. stretching into April 20.

Officers will be stationed at various high-traffic locations within the town, including Route 85, Route 32, Route 82, and Route 163.

The checkpoints are part of an initiative to increase public awareness and education regarding the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

The Montville Police aim to identify and remove impaired drivers from the roads to ensure the safety of all motorists.
