ENOSBURG — Authorities arrested 16-year-old Christian Concepcion at a home in Enosburgh on Friday night, linking him to a New York City homicide and identifying him as a person of interest in two Burlington homicides from last year.

Concepcion was taken into custody by a large law enforcement presence, including federal, state, and local officers.

He is now held without bail at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in Rutland.

The arrest stemmed from a robbery and fatal shooting at a New York City marijuana dispensary, with Concepcion also connected to Burlington homicide investigations in spring and November of 2023.

Burlington police officers participated in the arrest operation, which saw Concepcion eventually surrender after initially refusing to exit a basement hideout.

The operation included about 50 to 60 officers, featuring Vermont State Police’s SWAT team and other specialized units, underscoring the serious nature of the charges against Concepcion.
