Franklin County police seek public’s help to locate man in crisis

ST. ALBANS — State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 35-year-old Michael Plunkett, who may be in crisis and is believed to be in the Franklin or Chittenden County area.

Plunkett, who does not have a fixed address, is thought to be driving a black 2015 Jeep Renegade with Vermont registration HTT830.

Authorities emphasized that while his disappearance is not considered suspicious, there is a significant concern for his welfare.

The Vermont State Police received information suggesting that Plunkett could be experiencing a crisis, prompting a search operation across the counties.

Members of the community who might have seen Plunkett or have any information regarding his current location are encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at the St. Albans barracks by calling 802-524-5993.

The police are seeking any information that could aid in ensuring Plunkett’s safety.
