LYNDONVILLE — A single-vehicle crash late Wednesday night left a pickup truck heavily damaged, but the driver uninjured despite icy road conditions.

At approximately 11:43 p.m., Vermont State Police were called to the scene on Center Street near the intersection with Back Center Road.

Branden Daigle, 28, of Lyndon, lost control of his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado due to the snowy and icy road conditions.

Daigle’s vehicle sustained significant damage to the front and the entire passenger side after it veered off the road, striking wooden fencing and a street sign before rolling down an embankment and coming to rest on its side.

The Lyndonville Fire Department and Calex Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene, although Daigle, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, managed to escape without injury.

Authorities remind drivers to exercise caution and adjust speed accordingly during adverse weather conditions.
