BRADLEY — Penobscot County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a local man and identified a minor in relation to a theft of expensive tools, despite a day filled with traffic-related incidents.

On April 4, deputies executed a probation search at the residence of Daniel Bowling, 33, on Cram St in Bradley.

During their search, authorities located four Stihl chainsaws valued at roughly $4,000.

Interviews with individuals at the scene led deputies to determine the chainsaws had been taken from a pickup truck at a nearby worksite.

The owners were unaware of the theft until deputies made contact.

Bowling was arrested for a probation violation and has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a Class C Felony.

Additionally, a 16-year-old male will face charges in connection with the theft.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the minor’s involvement or the specific charges he will face.
