Woman escapes injury in single-vehicle crash in Brownington

BROWNINGTON — A local woman walked away uninjured after her vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert on Center Road today, according to the state police.

At approximately 10:50 a.m., the State Police were called to the scene of the crash involving a 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Michelle Normandin, 62, of Brownington.

Despite the rain and wet road conditions, Normandin, who was wearing her seat belt, did not sustain any injuries.

The vehicle suffered total damage in the incident.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but no other vehicles were involved.

Traffic flow on Center Rd was temporarily affected while emergency services responded to the accident.
