DANBURY — Danbury Police Department is seeking assistance from the community after a forced entry incident occurred at a local residence on Route 4, officials reported Sunday.

The break-in took place at a large, yellow house with an array of items on its covered porch, located closer to the Grafton area.

The police believe the incident happened on April 2, as they were dispatched to various calls throughout the day before concluding with the burglary report.

Authorities noted that the side entry of the house was breached with significant force, which would likely have created considerable noise.

Despite the lack of nearby houses, the department is reaching out to anyone who might have witnessed unusual foot traffic or heard the disturbance.

The home, currently unoccupied, contained personal property at the time of the break-in.

The Danbury Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact them directly.

Community members are reminded to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity that could aid in the investigation.
