St Johnsbury man arrested on failure to appear warrant

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 40-year-old St Johnsbury man was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court, according to the St Johnsbury Police Department.

Donald L. Hitman was taken into custody on March 29 after police executed the arrest warrant.

Detective Sgt. Lester Cleary reported that the arrest was made without incident.

Hitman was released on a citation and is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Court on April 1.

The original court date that Hitman failed to attend was not specified in the press release.

Police did not release further details about the circumstances leading to Hitman’s missed court appearance.
