BARTON — A two-vehicle collision on I-91 southbound near mile marker 161 resulted in non-life threatening injuries and major vehicle damage, authorities said Thursday.

State Police were called to the scene at approximately 1:39 p.m. after reports of the crash on the dry and clear stretch of interstate.

According to the investigation, Slobodan Josic, 66, of Burlington, driving a 2015 Toyota Sienna, veered into the passing lane, striking a 2020 Ford Escape operated by Steven Rodimon, 56, of Lyndon.

The impact sent Rodimon’s vehicle into a guardrail.

He suffered minor injuries and was transported to North Country Hospital by emergency services.

Josic, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the incident, did not sustain any injuries.

Following the crash, the southbound lane of I-91 was narrowed to one lane, causing traffic delays.

The Orleans Fire Department responded, providing assistance to Rodimon and managing traffic flow around the accident site.

Josic received a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint in connection with the crash.

Both vehicles were reported to have sustained total damage.
