St. Johnsbury man cited for retail theft at local drugstore

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 34-year-old local man has been cited for retail theft following an incident at Kinney Drugs earlier this month.

According to Vermont State Police, the store manager reported a theft that occurred at 3:15 p.m. on March 8.

The suspect, identified as Ethan Holt of St. Johnsbury, allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the retail pharmacy.

After a thorough investigation, authorities located Holt on March 27.

He has been issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court to answer to the charge of retail theft.

The date for Holt’s court appearance was not immediately available.

The value of the stolen merchandise and specific items taken have not been disclosed by the police.
