St. Johnsbury man faces DUI #2 charge after traffic stop

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks conducted a traffic stop on Portland Street after observing a vehicle committing multiple violations.

The driver, identified as 32-year-old Joshua Lamothe of St. Johnsbury, showed signs of impairment, according to police reports.

After failing standard field sobriety tests, Lamothe was taken into custody on suspicion of his second DUI offense.

Following the arrest, Lamothe was processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks and cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on April 8 at 8:30 a.m.

He was released to a sober adult pending his court appearance.
