WALES — A local resident reported an intrusion at her home on Haynes Hill Road earlier today, prompting a community alert from law enforcement officials.
According to the report, an unidentified male entered the residence through an unlocked door.
Upon realizing the homeowner was present, the intruder swiftly exited the premises in the same manner.
The suspect is described as a tall individual with dark “scraggly” hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
Authorities conducted a search for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone matching the description.
The incident remains under investigation.
The Wales Police Department advises residents to keep their doors locked at all times, even when at home, and to immediately dial 911 to report any suspicious activity.
