ST. ALBANS — A Colchester man was cited for illegally transporting a regulated drug into Northwest State Correctional Facility, officials said.
Samuel Blatt, 32, was found in possession of the drug on March 15, according to Vermont State Police.
A staff member at the correctional facility alerted authorities, leading to Blatt receiving a citation for transportation of alcohol, tobacco, or regulated drugs into places of detention.
Blatt has been ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court on April 22 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charge.
The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
