St. Johnsbury man charged with criminal threatening

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police cited a local man for criminal threatening after he allegedly sent threatening text messages, authorities said Thursday.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were called on March 8 at about 5:50 p.m. to investigate a complaint by Adam Favreau, 38, who reported receiving the messages from Adam Belliveau, 29.

Both men are St. Johnsbury residents.

After speaking with all parties involved, police issued a citation to Belliveau, who is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on April 8 at 8:30 a.m. Belliveau was released after being cited.
