ST. JOHNSBURY — A local man was arrested late Saturday night after police located him at his residence, acting on an outstanding warrant for failing to serve his weekend jail time.
Shawn Rich, 45, of St. Johnsbury, was taken into custody without incident at his Spring Street home after officers on patrol spotted his truck parked outside.
The arrest took place at approximately 10:10 p.m.
The warrant was issued on March 8 when Rich did not report to jail as required.
He was scheduled to serve intermittent time, a sentence that allows an individual to serve time on weekends.
Following the arrest, Rich was transported to the correctional facility where he will complete the remainder of his sentence as stipulated by the warrant.
