St. Johnsbury man arrested for domestic assault, resisting arrest

ST. JOHNSBURY — A St. Johnsbury man was arrested on Thursday, March 8, following a domestic assault incident on Cross Ave.

At approximately 3:23 p.m., troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a 911 call and, after a subsequent investigation, attempted to take Jordan Passut, 43, into custody. Passut resisted and became assaultive, resulting in the use of a taser by troopers.

Passut was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

He was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury on $1,000 bail. Troopers were assisted by members of CALEX.
