Police investigate shooting of Massachusetts teen in Enosburg

ENOSBURG — The Vermont State Police are investigating a shooting that injured an 18-year-old Massachusetts man at a private residence on Sampsonville Road late Tuesday night.

At approximately 8:54 p.m. on March 5, police received a 911 call reporting the incident.

First responders, including state troopers, found the victim from Fall River, Massachusetts, suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body.

The victim reported being shot by an unknown individual who fled on foot.

Enosburg EMS transported the victim to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries before he was transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police barracks in St. Albans at 802-524-5993.
