RICHFORD — A local man was cited for violating an abuse prevention order, Vermont State Police reported on Friday.

Authorities said they received a report at approximately 11:01 a.m. on Feb. 23 that Anthony Tracy, 43, had breached the terms of a Final Order for Relief from Abuse.

The order, which is court-mandated, specifies certain distances that individuals must maintain from those they are ordered to stay away from.

An investigation confirmed that Tracy had not maintained the required distance as outlined in the order.

Following the investigation, Tracy was located by law enforcement.

Tracy, a Richford resident, was issued a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Court on April 8 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges related to the violation.
