Pedestrian injured in Holliston airlifted by Boston MedFlight

HOLLISTON — A pedestrian was injured in an accident on Washington St. at Quail Run just before 10:30 a.m. on March 1.

The Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center received a call about the incident, reporting the involved party was conscious and alert at the time.

Holliston Police and Fire Departments responded promptly to the scene, assisted by ambulances from Ashland Fire Department and Sherborn Fire & Rescue Department.

In preparation for urgent transport, the Holliston Police and Fire Departments secured a landing zone at the Holliston High School for Boston MedFlight.

The injured pedestrian was then airlifted to a trauma center for further treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and have not yet released further details about the pedestrian’s identity or condition.

Traffic flow on Washington St. was affected during the response and has since returned to normal.
