St. Johnsbury man arrested for suspended license, violating release conditions

ST. JOHNSBURY — On Feb. 27, Vermont State Police apprehended a St. Johnsbury man for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and breaching his conditions of release.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were conducting routine patrol around 6:59 p.m. near the intersection of Hospital Drive and Interstate 91 North, Exit 22, when they detected a traffic violation by Joseph Tanner, 47.

A traffic stop was executed, and upon interaction, it was confirmed that Tanner’s license was under criminal suspension and that he was not adhering to the terms of his release.

Tanner was detained and brought to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

He is scheduled to appear in the Caledonia County Superior Court on April 1 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges resulting from the incident.

After the citation, Tanner was released.
