Police believe Machado suffered a medical event, causing the car to cross the southbound lane and leave the roadway before hitting the house.

Machado was taken to North Country Hospital by family members with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

No one in the house was injured, and Wright’s Towing assisted at the scene.
