Cavendish man arrested for DUI, negligent driving in Weathersfield

WEATHERSFIELD — A Cavendish man was arrested on charges of DUI and negligent operation of a vehicle after an incident on Tarbell Hill Road on Feb. 21.

Vermont State Police responded to a report at 7:12 p.m. of a vehicle off the roadway.

Upon arrival, they discovered Hunter Crowdle, 39, had lost control of his vehicle while navigating a corner, causing it to slide off the road.

During the interaction, officers observed signs of impairment in Crowdle.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Crowdle was transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing and later released with a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court Windsor Criminal Division on March 12 at 8 a.m.

In addition to the DUI and negligent operation charges, Crowdle was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for traveling at an unreasonable and imprudent speed for the existing road conditions.
