St. Johnsbury man charged with unlawful mischief for rock-throwing incident

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a local man Tuesday morning for allegedly throwing rocks through the windows of a Fourth Street residence.

Authorities were called to the scene at 9:35 a.m. after receiving reports of vandalism in progress.

Upon arrival, officers observed multiple broken windows and began their investigation.

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Alexander Sargent of St. Johnsbury, was located by police shortly after the incident.

After a thorough inquiry, Sargent was issued a citation on charges of Unlawful Mischief.

The victim, Christopher Fuller, 48, also a St. Johnsbury resident, was not reported injured during the incident.

Sargent is scheduled to appear in court to respond to the charges.

The date of the court appearance has not been disclosed.
