Everett police seize drugs, cash in undercover operation

EVERETT — An undercover operation conducted by the Everett Police Department’s Special Criminal Investigations Unit on Thursday evening resulted in the seizure of narcotics and the arrest of a suspected drug dealer.

During the street-level purchase of the alleged narcotic fentanyl, investigators were able to apprehend the suspect.

The operation also led to the confiscation of street-level distribution amounts of fentanyl, powder cocaine, and crack cocaine, along with approximately $1,500 in cash, which is believed to be the proceeds from illegal narcotics sales.

The Uniformed Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Unit assisted in the successful operation.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released, is facing multiple charges, including distribution of a Class A narcotic fentanyl, possession of a Class A narcotic fentanyl with the intent to distribute, and possession of a Class B narcotic cocaine with the intent to distribute.

The Everett Police Department remains committed to its ongoing efforts to investigate, identify, and apprehend individuals involved in the distribution of deadly substances within the city.

The arrest marks a significant step in their mission to combat the illegal drug trade and protect the community from the dangers of substance abuse.
