Brattleboro police seek help identifying attempted robbery suspect

BRATTLEBORO — In an attempt to identify a suspect involved in an attempted robbery, Brattleboro Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance.

On Jan. 18, at approximately 7:53 p.m., a male suspect entered the Family Dollar store located at 895 Putney Road and attempted to rob the clerk.

According to the police report, no weapon was displayed during the incident, and there were no injuries reported.

The suspect left the store shortly after entering, leaving without any stolen items.

The Brattleboro Police Department has released images of the male suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Josh Lynde is handling the investigation and can be contacted at 802-257-7950 with any relevant information regarding the incident.

The police have stated that no additional information will be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
