Fatal crash in Billerica under investigation

BILLERICA — Chief Roy Frost and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan reported that a fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Salem Road (Route 129) and Gray Street on Friday.

At around 12:10 p.m. on Jan. 12, Billerica Police, alongside Fire and EMS units, responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles with significant damage.

Each vehicle had a driver and a passenger at the time of the incident.

Two individuals were assessed on the scene and did not require hospitalization.

However, two others were transported to Lowell General Hospital, where an adult male was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The intersection was closed to traffic to allow for a preliminary investigation by authorities.

Billerica Police are leading the ongoing investigation with support from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
