Claremont, Lebanon police seek suspects in smash and grab thefts

LEBANON — Authorities in Claremont and Lebanon are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects involved in a series of smash and grab thefts that took place on Jan. 2.

The coordinated thefts involved two male suspects and a female suspect, who were later captured on security cameras using the victims’ bank cards at Walmart and Target stores to purchase gift cards.

The incidents, which spread concern among the local communities, prompted a thorough investigation by both the Claremont Police Department and Lebanon NH Police Department.

According to officials, after committing the thefts, the suspects fled the scene in a small red SUV, which is believed to be a VW Tiguan.

The vehicle was last seen leaving the parking areas of the affected stores.

The Claremont and Lebanon police departments have released images of the suspects obtained from the security footage in hopes that members of the public might recognize them.

Local law enforcement emphasizes the importance of community assistance in cases such as this and urges anyone with information to come forward.
