FERRISBURGH — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of US Route 7 and New Haven Road on Dec. 31 resulted in minor injuries and one totaled car, authorities said.

At approximately 11:36 a.m., troopers were called to the scene where a 2015 Toyota RAV4, driven by 67-year-old Ellen Pratt of Addison, collided with a 2020 Toyota Prius operated by 51-year-old Scott Hudnor of Dallas, Texas.

According to the investigation, Pratt was stopped facing east at the intersection’s stop sign on New Haven Road.

Hudnor was traveling south on US Route 7.

Pratt entered the intersection without yielding to oncoming traffic, causing her vehicle to strike the driver’s side of Hudnor’s Prius.

Pratt sustained minor injuries and was transported to Porter Medical Center. Hudnor was unharmed in the incident.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and the weather and road conditions were reported as clear and dry, respectively.

The RAV4 suffered driver’s side contact damage, while the Prius was declared totaled.

Following the accident, the vehicles were found at uncontrolled rest positions.

Local emergency teams, including the Ferrisburgh Fire Department and Vergennes Area Rescue Squad, provided assistance at the crash site.

Traffic flow was intermittently disrupted as the scene was cleared and investigated.
