St. Johnsbury Subaru customer’s vehicle stolen on Christmas night

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police were notified of a vehicle theft that occurred the previous evening at St J Subaru’s service lot this morning.

According to authorities, an unidentified male was captured on security footage walking through the lot shortly after 9 p.m. on Christmas Day.

The footage showed the male checking the doors of several vehicles before finding one unlocked with keys inside.

He then entered the Subaru Forester, belonging to 66-year-old Carol Kelley of Hardwick, and drove away from the premises.

State Police are actively seeking information to identify the suspect in this theft.

They urge anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact Trooper Jason Haley at the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111.
