Glover man arrested on warrant for assault, unlawful restraint

GLOVER — A routine traffic stop on Interstate 91 led to the arrest of a 38-year-old Glover man on an active warrant, Vermont State Police reported Tuesday.

At 10:17 a.m. on Dec. 24, a trooper stopped a vehicle traveling northbound near Putney.

The driver, identified as Timothy Riendeau, was found to have an outstanding warrant for simple assault, unlawful restraint, and interference with access to emergency services.

Riendeau was taken to the Westminster Barracks for processing.

He was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.

He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Orleans Criminal Division on Jan. 26 at 8 a.m.
