1 min read

WATERFORD — A Newbury man was arrested early Saturday morning after Vermont State Police troopers observed signs of drug impairment during a traffic stop on Interstate 93.

Timothy Kearney, 31, was pulled over at 3:22 a.m. and exhibited behavior that led troopers to suspect he was under the influence of drugs.

During the stop, Kearney resisted arrest, which led to an additional charge.

After being processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks, Kearney was cited for DUI drugs, resisting arrest, and was found to be in violation of court-ordered conditions of release (VCOR).

He was later released into the custody of Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.
