Salisbury woman charged with aggravated domestic assault

SALISBURY — A local woman was arrested following a family dispute that escalated into a violent confrontation, Vermont State Police reported.

On the evening of Dec. 15, troopers from the New Haven Barracks were called to a residence in Salisbury for a reported family fight.

Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, authorities determined that Tammy Jackson, 44, had committed first-degree aggravated domestic assault.

Jackson was taken into custody the following day and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

After the completion of the processing procedures, she was released and issued a citation ordering her to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal division, on Dec. 18.

The Vermont State Police has a policy of not disclosing the identities of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence to protect their privacy and safety.
