Driver arrested for DUI on I-91 in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — A New Hampshire man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Saturday morning after Vermont State Police responded to a call for a motorist in need of assistance.

At approximately 12:43 a.m., troopers were dispatched to Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 27 in Westminster.

Upon arrival, they encountered 54-year-old Eric Rouleau of Claremont, New Hampshire.

During the interaction with Rouleau, troopers observed signs of impairment.

After an investigation, Rouleau was taken into custody for DUI.

He was processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks and released with a citation.

Rouleau is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Jan. 2 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
