Two arrested in connection with Plymouth home invasion

PLYMOUTH — Two individuals were taken into custody in relation to a violent home invasion that occurred on the morning of Dec. 13.

Plymouth Police were called to the scene on the 200 block of Summer Street at around 9 a.m. after reports of a break-in.

Responding officers found an injured victim who had been assaulted with a pistol.

The victim received immediate medical attention while law enforcement initiated an investigation.

The suspects, identified as a man and a woman, were said to have destroyed a security camera before forcibly entering the home.

They were armed with a handgun and assaulted the occupants inside.

Authorities issued a BOLO alert for the suspects’ vehicle.

Later, an officer on detail duty spotted the vehicle entering a housing complex in West Plymouth.

Upon additional officers arriving, one suspect had fled, but the other was located inside an apartment.

Marianne Sullivan, 47, from Plymouth, was arrested and faces charges including home invasion, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, vandalism, witness intimidation, and disturbing the peace.

John Santiago, 24, also from Plymouth, surrendered himself at the police headquarters later that day.

Santiago has been charged with similar offenses, including home invasion, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, vandalism, intimidation of a witness, and disturbing the peace.

The Plymouth Police Detective Division continues to investigate the incident, and search warrants have been executed with additional ones pending.

Early indications suggest that the crime was targeted, as the victims and suspects were reportedly acquainted.
