Arlington woman crashes into Dollar General, no injuries reported

ARLINGTON — The Vermont State Police reported to a crash at the Dollar General parking lot on Dec. 14 at approximately 8:30 a.m., where a car struck the building’s exterior wall.

According to authorities, Dawn Steere, 58, of Arlington, was behind the wheel of a 2011 KIA Optima when she failed to stop at a designated parking space.

The vehicle went over the curb and collided with the Dollar General wall resulting in front-end damage to the car.

The incident occurred under clear weather conditions and on dry road surfaces.

Steere, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, did not sustain any injuries.

The car, however, was inoperable and had to be removed from the scene by Monarch’s Towing.

The building sustained property damage, but no further details about the extent have been provided.

The Vermont State Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
