CRAFTSBURY — A Craftsbury man was taken into custody after violating a court order by contacting a victim he was previously directed to avoid.

Authorities reported that on Nov. 13, an investigation revealed that 58-year-old Francis Huard breached his conditions of release.

When law enforcement attempted to cite Huard into court, they discovered he was actively disobeying the court’s orders.

Huard was arrested without incident, processed at the Derby Barracks, and subsequently released with a citation to appear in court.

The date of his court appearance was not immediately provided.
