Westminster man charged with multiple burglaries, mischief

WESTMINSTER — A Springfield man was arrested on multiple charges including burglary and violating conditions of release after deputies responded to a break-in on Back Westminster Road on Nov. 14.

The Windham County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a burglary at approximately noon.

Upon arrival, deputies began an investigation and initiated a search for the suspect.

Devin Pratt, 35, was located walking along Back Westminster Road by a deputy who recognized him from the suspect’s description.

After establishing probable cause, Pratt was taken into custody.

Further inquiries revealed that Pratt had entered and burglarized a second residence in the same area.

Additionally, it was determined that Pratt was out on bail for three separate sets of conditions of release, all of which had been ordered within the previous two weeks.

Pratt faces two counts of burglary of an occupied dwelling, one count of unlawful mischief, and three counts of violation of conditions of release.

Following his arrest, Pratt was processed at the Windham County Sheriff’s Office and given a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on Nov. 15 at 12:30 p.m.

The court ordered Pratt held on a $15,000 bail, and he was remanded to the Southern State Correctional Facility.
