Derby man faces multiple charges after hit-and-run, DUI arrest

DERBY — A local man was arrested Monday afternoon following a series of vehicle collisions and a subsequent hit-and-run incident on Darling Hill Road.

Dylan Cote, 28, of Derby, allegedly struck multiple vehicles and fled the scene before being located by one of the victims.

State Police responded to the call at approximately 1:50 p.m. and apprehended Cote without further incident.

Upon arrest, Cote was processed for driving under the influence at the Derby Barracks.

He was later released with a citation for leaving the scene of an accident (LSA), driving with a suspended license (DLS), DUI first offense (DUI #1), and possession of narcotics.

Details of the narcotics found in Cote’s possession were not immediately released.

The State Police continue their investigation into the collisions and the circumstances leading up to Cote’s arrest.

He is expected to appear in court to face the charges at a later date.
